Looking for a unique place to have a children’s birthday party in Chelsea? Beaufort House takes it to another level entirely, with parents encouraged to mingle and drink Laurent Perrier Rose Champagne while their kids are kept happy and busy elsewhere in the club.
After the initial thrill of thinking “Yay! I don’t have to keep track of 50 five year olds in a soft play area!”, I did wonder what on earth the kids would get up to in a champagne bar and private member’s club. Quite a lot it turns out.
The Beaufort House team love planning christenings and birthday parties, so you can set them a challenge and a theme and let them take care of all the details, the entertainment, and the food. The kids menu looks tasty, and although at £15 it sounds a bit steep, it’s fresh, good quality food. Don’t believe me?

It’s not just for birthday parties, of course… club members can come along with their kids any time of year and just chill out, read the papers or make use of the free Wifi while the Beaufort House staff keep the children out of mum’s hair. Club membership is £400 a year and includes entry to the fabulous Stars Gym (it has a creche too!) and lots of other perks.

Mum’s Night Out at Beaufort House
Many thanks to Simon and the rest of the Beaufort House team, who hosted a lovely evening for myself, Laura from London Baby, Jonathan from Kings Road, and a group of parent bloggers and lifestyle bloggers. They treated us to some mouthwatering canapés, a lovely pinot noir that even Pinot Moi approved of, and all in all gave us a great excuse to find a babysitter. We can also highly recommend the club’s signature drink (Spiced Pear Mojito), which we sampled several times, just to be sure.
The menu on our little night out:
- Smoked Salmon, Quails Egg & Sevruga Caviar
- Soused Sea Bass, Caper Mayonnaise & Cucumber
- Confit Duck Spring Roll, Plum Sauce
- Ham Hock Terrine, Piccalilli & Toast
- Mini Fish & Chips
- Parmesan & Truffle Arancini
- Wild Mushroom & Herb Quiche
- Mini Lemon Meringue Pie
- Rococo Chocolate Fountain and Strawberries
- Spiced Pear Mojito
- Kings Road Crush
- Raspberry Bellini
- Laurent Perrier Rose
- Macon Villages Domaine Des Marechaudes, Burgundy
- Vavasour Marlborough Pinot Noir
Our fellow bloggers have written some fab reviews of Beaufort House too – check them out!
I loved it all: the atmosphere, the decor, the food, the drink, but what I liked most was chatting to Simon, the owner, on our tour of the ‘top floor party room’ with it’s wall of champagne, the Member’s Room, and the Club Room that we were in. He clearly loves what he does: it shows in the way he talks about Beaufort House, the menus, the children’s parties they offer, the way that they plan on using the spaces they have to offer daytime and evening events…
I love the idea of Mocktail Discos for a tween girl – who wouldn’t love the grown up feel of such a party. The pricing seemed MORE than reasonable to me (especially in a rather expensive London) and I can’t wait to come here again with The Girl in tow.
It’s a great place for hanging out with the kids (colouring sheets and pencils kindly provided for distraction whilst the grown ups enjoy a Latte) – and upstairs, tardis-like, is surprisingly roomy, a fab venue for the next cupcake birthday party for the smalls!
For some time, Beaufort House in Chelsea has been our go-to place when going out to eat with the kids.
We will soon be listing Baby Cinema events at Beaufort House on the first Wednesday of every month where parents can relax in a nice atmosphere with their kids.
