Costa Coffee – Muswell Hill

376 Muswell Hill Broadway
London N10 1DJ

Great place to meet up, whether you have a baby asleep in the buggy next to your table, a toddler demanding a babyccino (frothed milk dusted with chocolate powder) or older children just enjoying an escape from the rain. Costa serves a wide range of freshly ground coffees, teas, juices, panini, and desserts. New mums will be pleased to know that while the doorway looks very narrow, it still allows access for most double buggies (and they will fit into the disabled toilets with you as well), and you can sneak past the busy section at the front of the cafe to a much more quiet area with comfy seats perfect for baby’s feeding time.

  1. I don’t usually like the big chains but this is a great place to stop for a coffee in those early months. Getting through the front door is a bit tricky with the buggy but not impossible – even my side-by-side double fits (just). Squeeze past the tills and there is a large calm area at the back with comfy chairs. Perfect for chilling out while baby sleeps, but also brilliant for breastfeeding without feeling too exposed. There is also a disabled toilet large enough that you can bring the buggy in with you – so you and your uncooperative pelvic floor don’t need to trust strangers with your precious little baby! Never been there with older kids but I’m pretty sure they serve baby-ccinos – always a hit with toddlers & preschoolers.
