Land of the silver birch, home of the beaver… Frontierland at Disneyland© Paris is the ultimate Wild West location for families visiting Disneyland Paris with young children. Set in the fictional town of Thunder Mesa, saloons, riverboats and perhaps the best rollercoaster in the land reside in harmony – unlike the infamous cowboys and Indians. Blue lake and rocky shore, you will indeed return once more.
Little Boys Will Love…
This haunted house will have you screaming with delight as soon as you step through the wrought iron gates. The journey begins in a spooky hallway where nothing is quite as it seems. Follow the life of an undead bride and the terrors of her wedding day if you dare…
Little Girls Will Love…
Pocahontas Indian village
Multiple slides, swings and climbing areas allow kids aged 4-8 to play cowboys and Indians until the sun goes down! This fantastic play area is a great place to let off any remaining steam – or simple somewhere for parents to have a nice sit down!
Over 10s Will Love…
Big Thunder Mountain
Big Thunder Mountain is possibly the best ride that Disneyland Paris has to offer. Set on a magnificent island on the lake, this runaway mine train twists around rock outcrops, plunges into caves and steams through the Thunder Mesa sierras. This ride has serious feel-good factor. Use your Disney FASTPASS® to make the most of it!
[box]Top Tip: Frontierland plays host to a fabulous array of souvenir shops – don’t forget to pick up your souvenir cowboy hats![/box]
Everyone Will Love…
Thunder Mesa Riverboat Landing
Whether you choose to ride the Mark Twain or the Molly Brown, this riverboat adventure is the perfect end to the day. Come aboard the old paddle steamer and enjoy a relaxing
cruise around the lake. Make sure the kids keep a look out for the hidden campsites on the way round!
[box]Top Tip: River Rogue Keelboats run during the summer months – take a ride around the lake in a much more intimate style than the Riverboat.[/box]
Don’t Miss Out…
Woody’s Roundup Village
Located at the far end of Frontierland, right by the Disneyland© Railroad station, is this
fabulous Toy Story 2-inspired photo location. Walk around the scenery and pretend you’re in the movie!
[box]Top Tip: Don’t miss the Legends of the Wild West at the entrance to Frontierland. Climb the watchtowers, see the old cannon and keep an eye out for Davy Crockett. Take some great photos from the top too.[/box]
Don’t Miss Out…
Another hidden photo location is Boot Hill past Phantom Manor. View the many gravestones of the house’s family and watch out for the geysers – you might get wet if the wind is blowing the wrong way…
