Exploring Majorca’s Natural Beauty and Attractions With Your Family

Majorca is a destination popular with generations of families, with its natural beauty and wild landscape providing a beautiful destination to visit and explore safely. Small coves, beautiful beaches and mountains make it a destination that is suitable for an adventure packed holiday, whilst also providing a chance for some gentle fitness. There is also a selection of great family attractions to keep you entertained. Here is a pick of attractions to suit the whole family on Majorca Holidays.

Bike Riding and Beach Hunting with the Family

Majorca HolidaysThe Tramuntana Mountain Range in the north of the island is the perfect example of Majorca’s natural beauty, and was recently awarded with UNESCO World Heritage Status. The north eastern tip of Majorca, where the Tramuntana Mountains lie, is a lot quieter than the south of the Island and this give families the perfect opportunity to explore and spend some quality time together. Fully recommended is taking the family to rent bicycles and riding along the coastline for a day of exploration. Take a pit stop at Alcanada beach to admire the views and enjoy a safe paddle, the beach has shallow waters and fine sand that are perfect for safe beach fun.

Where To Stay – Alcudia is to the north-east of the Island and is a family friendly resort that is ideally situated near the Tramuntana Mountains.

Water Fun for the Small and Big Kids in the Family

Holidays to MajorcaA trip to a Water Park offers a day of thrill on holiday; there are three great water parks to choose from in Majorca. The Western Water Park in Magaluf is a great choice because of its variety, with slides and pool for every member of the family. Ideal for first time paddlers is the Kid’s Waterland which is aimed at providing safe fun for children up to the age of five. For more confident swimmers and bigger children there is Tijuana Twins that offer a bit more adventure. The thrill seekers will love the Beast slide, which consists of a 30 metre drop and an almighty splash. Just make sure you hold onto your trunks. Lastly there is the Mega Slide which will keep the whole family smiling, everyone can jump into an extra-large dinghy and share a fun ride down the 260 metre slide.

Where To Stay – Santa Ponsa is situated closely to Magaluf but is a world away from the hustle and bustle of that resort, guaranteeing a quiet but entertaining family focused resort.

Amazing Aquatics and Wildlife Shows

Marineland in the west of Majorca is an awe inspiring day out for the whole family. The aquatic wildlife park features a fantastic selection of shows, animals and attractions. The shows offer traditional family fun and showcase two loveable creatures, the much loved dolphin and the cute sea lion. The dolphin show has been voted amongst the best in the world, and includes an underwater tunnel so visitors can witness the dolphins from all angles. Both shows are performed twice daily, so to visit both you will need to see the shows alternatively in the morning or afternoon. There are also two aquariums to see and explore, which are great for educating young ones and keeping them interested. The Seven Seas Aquarium includes hundreds of species and the king of the ocean, the shark. Lastly there are the cute waddling penguins to watch, these playful creatures are always likely to raise a smile and some comforting ‘arrhhhs’.

Where To Stay – Palma Nova is moments away from Marineland in the west of the Island, and is a popular resort with families looking for an entertaining holiday.
