The Horniman Museum and Gardens is joint winner of Kids in Museums‘ Telegraph Family Friendly Museum Award 2013 and was voted by families as being one of the most child friendly museums in London. It has a unique range of exhibits, events and activities which illustrate the cultural and natural world, and while some of the precious objects may be locked away in glass cases, you can ask a local “explainer” to take it out of the case for the kids to handle it. Children will also enjoy the regular storytelling and art and craft sessions and half term activities.
