  1. How funny … I actually SLEPT onboard HMS Belfast last weekend with 25 Brownies!! It was truly an amazing experience and I fully recommend a day trip to this floating museum. Allow yourself a good couple of hours to experience all the noises, smells and models. There is so much to see, it is fantastic. Views from top deck are great too.

I would love to go back with my family, please include me in the prize draw.

  2. Catalyst Science Discovery Centre in Widnes, Lancashire, is a great place for a kids’ day out. Lots of hands on experiments and activities really occupy the kids, and they learn while they play. There’s a cafe for snacks and light meals, too. Outside is a childrens’ playground and a canal, with lots of ducks, and a scenic walk along the river.
    It’s well worth a visit.

  3. Royal Gunpowder Mills, Waltham Abbey, is a great day out for kids, please enter me, for comp, if i was lucky, i would give these tickets to a neighbour, who has two boys, and it would give them something to do , with a lovely day out, i would pay for tower bridge for them, as she is a single parent, and a great friend

  4. Eureka museum for children in Halifax is definitely the most entertaining visitor attraction for families with young children. It has a bank, supermarket and garage – hours of fun for children.

  5. The best museum for kids is the Pitt Rivers in Oxford- it’s full of hidden treasures!

  6. The best London tourist attractions for kids are museums. British Museum, Science Museum, Natural History Museum… because they are free, educative, informative, and FUN !

  7. The best museum is the Manchester museum of science and industry. Great fun to visit.

  8. Eureka, the science museum in Halixfax, West Yorkshire, is a totally awesome place for the family!

  9. My fave London tourist attraction has got to be the British Musuem. Free and fun for all age groups.

  10. I went to HMS Belfast a while ago and think this would be the agreat place to take the kids and my favourite tourist attraction.

  11. One of the best london tourist attraction for kids, I would say is the cartoon museum. It’s one of the less well known attractions, but definitely a hidden gem. There’s a selection of work from the Guardian cartoonist Steve Bell at the moment and it’s an excellent accessible way to introduce your children into politics in a clever and visual way. The gift shop is wonderful too, there’s some great Tin tin merchandise

  12. My 11 year old daughter and I so adore the lovely toy museum at Bethnal Green, If I remember rightly it is part of the V & A collection. Great range of dolls and dolls houses among other things. Well worth a visit and free entry.

  13. One of the best London tourist attractions, a great place to visit with children, a wonderful fun day out – we would love to visit again

  14. We’ve just visited Dover Castle and my 2 sons were capitavted with the wartime experience far more than I anticipated so I’d like to build on this interest and learn some more about this era of our shared past with them. I felt ashamed at my own lack of knowledge of such a significant part of our past so a trip to HMS Belfast would be as much for me as for them.

  15. London Tourist Attraction that my kids love is Hampton court Palace. The actors really involve the children in their “plays”.
Plenty of outside space too to run around or picnic.
All the family from grandparent down love it.

  16. One of the best London Tourist attractions is the London Aquarium, it was very interactive and calming. If you are feeling brave can walk over a glass panel with sharks underneath. kids would love this.

  17. Our favourite family friendly museum is Mill Farm in Livingston- tons of play areas for the kids and lots of animals to pet.

  18. MOMI – museum of the moving image! It is the most fantastic place to visit, and I can not wait to take my son there now he is old enough 🙂 (secretly want to go again myself lol)

  19. I think the best museum for kids in London is The Natural History Museum. Our boys love the Darwin Centre, with its interactive exhibits and, because there’s so much to see, every time we go, it’s like visiting a completely different museum!

  20. The HMS Belfast looks like a great London tourist attraction for kids. I’d also recommend the Tower of London and the Science Museum.

  21. The science museum is fantastic for kids of all ages and the basement is super for my little boy. He loved the things going on it there! A wonderful London tourist attraction

  22. Our favourite museum for kids is definitely the Natural History Museum. There always seems to be something new to discover.

  23. Hello, I would love to win to take my father in law with kids while they are here from Australia

  24. Best museum for kids is @Bristol, so many great activities kids can do and discover science at the same time.

  25. My favourite London tourist attraction is Madamme Tussaud’s – great to get pics taken with celebrities

  26. My favouirte UK tourist attraction is Lands End in Cornwall. I visited earlier this year for the first time and expected to find just a sign to John O’Groats, but actually it is so much more than that.

This is a really great attraction in the South West of England for families with children. In addition to the free minature village, picnic area, lifeboat (that you and the little ones can climb onto) and of course the amazing views, there are also other chargeable attractions to keep the kids amused.

The best (in our opinion) was the 4D pirate adventure based around Skull Island. This is a brilliant cinema type ride but with 3D animation that makes you duck as the action seems to jump out of the screen at you and water splashes, tickles around the legs, and many more interactions with the movie.

We took a 3 year old and a 5 month old into the attraction. The staff were extremely helpful and wheeled our pram through the auditorium for us.

If you are visiting Cornwall or anywhere in the south West of the UK this is a really great day out.

  27. loving Syon Park…..touchy feely creatures, snakes and ladders, beautiful gardens……plus cant beat the aeroplanes flying into heathrow………..magic

  28. We love lots of London kid-friendly tourist attractions. Besides walking along the Thames from Tower Bridge to the London Eye (my boys love looking at the boats), we love the Discovery Story Centre.

  29. My kids’ favourite places to visit in London are Battersea Park Children’s Zoo, Polka Theatre in Wimbledon, the Natural History Museum, the Science Museum, the Museum of Childhood in Bethnal Green and the London Transport Museum.

We’ve not tried HMS Belfast yet but I’m pretty sure my little boy would love it.

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows 2 Premiere and a brilliant musical parody
