This riding stable is not approved by the British Horse Society (BHS).
Whatever your reason for seeking out a riding centre – be it to learn to ride, for a pleasant hour’s hacking, or training up to advanced level – you will want to pick an establishment that is both reputable and well run.
British Horse Society Approved Establishments have horse and pony welfare along with client safety and satisfaction as priorities. All establishments are insured for public liability and comply with the latest health and safety legislation. To uphold the scheme’s standards and ensure quality teaching, unannounced annual inspections are organised for your peace of mind.

Higher Park Farm RIding School is a fully licenced and insured school. To be licenced it has to be regularly inspected by the council and all horses are vetted to ensure they are up to the job. It is also an approved Pony Club Centre. The Pony Club have very high standards in the welfare and care of the horses and also in the level of instruction given. The staff at the school are all qualified and work to the highest standards. My son rides there and is also a Pony Club member and he loves it!
This yard is not well run. They have a very dodgy way of handling there clients and horses so I won’t be going back…
