  1. Despite living in Finchley for years I only discovered Avenue House recently and am so glad I did. It has some lovely picturesque walks for pushing the buggy round, as well as a huge open green area which my son loves crawling around. It also has a large-ish playground suitable for young toddlers as well as older children. The kiosk does an OK job with food and drink but the toilets leave a lot to be desired.

  2. A lovely hidden gem. Nice Cafe, good playground. Toilets new/clean but leaves do blow under the doors. Keys are the Cafe.. But of course the interest is that it is not overcrowded or just a flat boring mown municipal space. Designed years ago as one man’s private park with many features, hills, lakes and many examples of trees not seen elsewhere.. Wonderful colour any time of the year. Easy parking. Avenue House itself has great high ceiling historic rooms to hire for weddings, parties etc. Whole place run by volunteers.

  3. We went to the park yesterday thanks to the information from this website. It’s indeed a decent park and has a clean and spacious kids’ play area. The green fields are well maintained and beautiful. We’d love to go there often!
