Eddie Catz Putney is a large indoor play centre and a great place for parents to meet up.
For babies and toddlers there is a soft play area, rides, and bouncy chairs.
For children 3+ there is a double-height themed playframe, reading / quiet zone, and interactive games in multiple languages.
For children 5+ there are interactive video games, air hockey, mini basketball, internet access, books and magazines.
Eddie Catz hosts birthday parties, music and movement classes, and other workshops… if you’re keen on the kids learning another language don’t forget to sign up for Petit Pierrot french lessons.
On a rainy day, without having to book, this is a life-saver! We went here with some friends fairly late on in the afternoon and had no trouble getting in. There is ample space for parents to enjoy a chat and cuppa while keeping an eye on the kids. The play area isn’t as big as the Eddie Catz in Wimbledon which comes out as favourite for my kids but this is very neat and self contained. It would be a great introduction to these play zones without being too daunting or getting too far away from Mum. Parking in the Putney Exchange car park is very easy too and I didn’t bother taking a pram as you have to leave them at the bottom of the stairs. There is a big stair lift for wheelchair access, but prams stay on the ground floor. We had tea here too and the children’s menu is well thought out and not too expensive. Overall a good place to go.
