Godstone Farm and Play barn is a large children’s farm in beautiful Surrey countryside that offers a huge variety of activities for all the family. These include farm animals, animal petting, tractor rides, an indoor soft play area, a covered sand play area and a vast outdoor playground with spectacular country views.
We went to Godstone Farm for a kid’s party and ending up spending pretty much the whole day there. Like lots of kids farms it’s a bit tatty in places and was quite busy, but it’s so big and there’s so much to do this more than makes up for it. All the children had a little quiz (organised by the farm) to complete as they looked round and there was a dedicated party room for lunch and an ‘exclusive’ tractor ride for all the guests at the party. There were plenty of animals, including all the usual farm favourites and even the chance to handle the smaller animals like rabbits and guinea pigs – which the kids loved.
The best thing about Godstone farm has to be the massive play area at the top of the hill above the farm, I don’t think I’ve ever seen a bigger playground; there were sandpits, wooden forts, big slides and even a kind of water / astroturf slide that children went down on plastic trays! There was a little refreshment kiosk nearby which meant that while the kids played the adults could grab a coffee etc – excellent. This all meant that (unlike lots of other places) it was quite easy to spend the whole day there without getting bored.
