The Black Cat Pub in Chesham

A family friendly public house steeped in history, first licenced in 1828. Church meetings used to be housed in its sitting room, the village shop was in one of the bars, and older residents will perhaps remember getting their hair cut out in the back shed. The Black Cat serves traditional pub food and a popular Sunday roast.

Many thanks to Caroline for recommending this child friendly pub. See Caroline’s review below!

  1. Absolutely fabulous country pub. Very child and family friendly with toys and a high chair. The back room is quieter than the bar and the kids can run about without tripping people up!

Lovely BIG beer garden with outside toys in the summer with footpaths near by for those country walks.

Amazing Sunday lunches (book in advance) with MASSIVE puddings!

Just a lovely pub all round really!

  2. A great place for all ages! Excellent Sunday lunch so book in advance. My favourite pub in Bucks!
