Yogi Bear DVD Review and Competition [closed]

Note that this competition is now closed, but please have a read of our review below as well as a handpicked selection of picnic spots!

To celebrate the release of “Yogi Bear”, Really Kid Friendly are offering five lucky people the chance to win a copy of Yogi Bear on DVD!

When Yogi finds out that Jellystone Park is being sold, tossing him, Boo Boo, and all their friends out of the only home they’ve ever known, he and Boo Boo join forces with his long-suffering nemesis, Ranger Smith. They must find a way to save the park from closing forever!  Dan Aykroyd (Ghostbusters, The Blues Brothers) stars as the voice of Yogi, Jellystone Park’s notorious troublemaker, and Justin Timberlake (The Social Network, Shrek The Third) is the voice of Boo Boo, Yogi’s faithful pal and co-conspirator in his never-ending schemes.

Directed by Eric Brevig, Yogi Bear features the voices of Dan Aykroyd, Justin Timberlake, and stars Anna Faris (Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs, Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Squeakquel), Tom Cavanagh (TV’s Ed) in the film’s live-action cast.

We’ve seen a copy already and it’s guaranteed family fun for a rainy afternoon. My children, aged 2 and 3 were a bit on the young side, but that didn’t stop me using them as an excuse to enjoy it myself! Having grown up with the cartoon original, this version is great as it mixes real actors with CGI characters (Yogi and Boo Boo). The voices are very well done and I especially liked Justin Timberlake’s Boo Boo.

Yogi Bear is available on 3D Blu-ray Pack, 2D Blu-ray Triple Play, DVD and Digital Download NOW

  1. Justin Timberlake ….

my daughters would so love this dvd , fingers crossed and thanks for another super competition

  2. My family’s favourite picnic place is Jefferson Gardens in Leamington Spa, Warwickshire. This is a free to enter public park and it has so many different places there is something for everyone. There are big grassy areas for running around and playing games; benches under shady trees for a bit of quiet relaxation; a children’s play area, complete with pirate ship climbing frame and formal gardens with beautiful planting. Best of all though iare the boats for hire on the river running through the park. This is a great way for Dad to show off by rowing the kids up and down, or even for the bigger kids to have a go themselves in a canoe.
This place is perfect, whatever type of picnic you want to have. WE’ve even seen families having portable BBQ’s in the gardens!
