The next few weeks are going to be incredibly festive on and around The King’s Road (London). There are loads of fun and Christmassy affairs to take the kids to, or to enjoy sans enfant, during the next few weeks.
Shopping for children this Christmas?
In case you missed the last one, Le Fille Unique is having another amazing sale at The Chelsea Old Town Hall. The Hall will be filled with classically chic and beautifully styled clothing from the likes of Marie Chantal, Caramel Baby, Bobo Choses, Simonetta, Il Gufo, Bonnie Baby and more laid out in £10, £15, £20, £25, £30 tables. It’s super easy and very straight forward; the clothes are just gorgeous. I have been told there are loads of boys clothing on offer this time.

Chelsea Physic Garden Christmas Fair
This promises to be a truly great event taking place over two days before the gardens close up for winter. The grounds will be filled with heated marquees, mulled wine and amazing food from the Tangerine Dream Café will be on offer for extremely reasonable prices. Look for gifts along the lines of reasonably priced pressed flower heavy weight paper journals with water colour pencils and affordable woollen half-gloves with retractable mitten covers. The kinds of special gifts your overly-educated and intensely thoughtful colleague/neighbour/sister-in-law/aunt impresses everyone with come gift exchange time.
Chelsea Physic Gardens. Saturday 26th and Sunday 27th, 10am – 4pm. £5 per adult, children free and the ticket is good for both days.
Duke of York Square Santa’s Grotto
A log cabin from Lapland has landed in the Duke of York Square!!! When Father Christmas needs a break from the Peter Jones workshop, he is going to be listening to children in his Lapland cabin. Beginning Thursday, 1st December He will be in his cabin from 10am- noon, 12:30 – 3:30 and then from 4:15 – 7pm: Wednesdays – Sundays until “The Big Show”. As grotto’s go, this is a posh one without a massive queue and families can make great use of the distraction while one takes off to do some shopping.

Elle Macpherson and Moreton Street Pimlico Christmas Tree
Yes, Pimlico’s very own supermum, Elle Macpherson will be lighting the Moreton Street Christmas tree. Pimlico Toy Library will be on hand to address the desperate need for funds for their invaluable charity. Local, and nearly solely independent business will be open and ready to pedal organic skin care, antiques, bohemian chic gifts and decorations, coffees, pizza and more. Moreton Street is a treasure trove of independents.

NCT Kensington and Chelsea & Pippa’s Poppets Christmas Party
You may just be able to get a place still at the National Childbirth Trust Kensington and Chelsea branch party with Pippa’s Poppets at the Chelsea Theatre. Bring your babies along for singing with the award-winning Pippa Cleary, drinks and mince pies.

Family Art Workshops at the Saatchi Gallery
Come bring your bigger kids and their younger siblings to make your own stamp and Christmas cards. Learn how to press an image into foam and then print your own cards with the talented and engaging Valeria.

Elizabeth Street Christmas Sunday
Just a short hop away from Sloane Square is the Elizabeth Street Christmas Fair and it is guaranteed to get you thinking warmly about Christmas. Three Wise Men riding into London on their camels; Fulham Brass Band, carol singers, stilt walkers, balloon modellers, and loads of other silly Christmas fun. This event is great for young and old alike; there will be loads to eat, drink and buy and enough festive wonderment to make help Christmas fun.
