Last Minute Gift Idea: London Theatre Tickets

Tickets to the panto, children’s stage show or even a West End Musical make for excellent last minute Christmas presents. We’ve got a great selection of discount London theatre tickets on our little ticket booking engine, but if you’re having trouble deciding, here are five of our favourite shows for kids:

The Gruffalo

The GruffaloIt comes as no surprise that Tall Stories’ fun and engaging musical adaptation of Julia Donaldson’s classic children’s book The Gruffalo is the top selling show for kids. We’ve been to see it with toddlers and preschoolers and had a great time, although the youngest children did hide their eyes when The Gruffalo himself appeared on the stage.

The Gruffalo is just one of Tall Stories’ magical stage shows for kids – Room on the Broom is playing over Christmas 2011 in Birmingham, and in 2012 we’ll see shows like Twinkle Twonkle, The Snail and the Whale, and more of Mr Benn.

Potted Panto

Potted PantoCBBC’s Dan and Jeff return for a second festive season of Potted Panto, following a Best Entertainment nomination in the Olivier Awards and a West End run of their original show Potted Potter. For Christmas 2011, Potted Panto features eight classic pantomimes in just eighty minutes. That’s one whole panto more than last year, for the same price!

The Sooty Christmas Show

Sooty Christmas ShowA little nostalgia required this Christmas? Introduce your children to Sooty! The Sooty Christmas Show opens as Sooty, Sweep, Soo and Richard are getting ready for their Christmas Party. Sooty is having a few problems rehearsing his magic show, while Sweep’s Christmas cake is a recipe for disaster. Poor little Soo just can’t decide which dress to wear. Luckily Uncle Norman drops by to lend a hand assisted by his amazing troupe of performing budgies! Plus Father Christmas flies in to deliver a present for every child in the theatre to take home.

  1. I don’t care what anyone says, theatre will never die out. I love movies, I’m a big movie fan, but you just can’t replace seeing a great theatre show with a great movie experience.
