The Muppets UK Premiere – Photos from the Red Carpet

Kermit and Piggy The Sun newspaperYesterday was a busy and very exciting day for Kermit the Frog as he hopped around London to promote his new film, The Muppets, due to hit UK cinemas on February 10th. He and Miss Piggy were guest editors over at The Sun newspaper, Kermit busy trying to quell rumours of a Kermit-Miss Piggy relationship.

Among other celebrity appearances throughout the day, Kermit and Miss Piggy made lots of sick children very happy indeed with a visit to Great Ormond Street children’s hospital.

We of course got to hear all about it on Twitter, with Kermit fielding hundreds of questions from UK fans of The Muppets, including these two celebrity tweets which definitely hit the right note with fans…

@stephenfry: Kermit, how often a day do you gargle to keep your tenor tones so supple?

@ollyofficial: Looking forward to seeing you tonight Kermit!! are you ok with me flirting with your missus?

Finally, on to the West End for the UK premiere of The Muppets, joined by Muppets fans including Stephen Fry, a beautifully pregnant Peaches Geldof and War Horse star Jeremy Irvine.

The Muppets is brilliantly funny and surprisingly moving, and we just can’t wait til it hits UK cinemas so we can see it again – read our review of The Muppets to find out why we love it so much.  In the meantime we will keep ourselves amused watching silly Muppets clips like this Chicken-fied version of Cee Lo Green’s Forget You. Superb.
