Half Term in London: Imagine Children’s Festival

Gastronaut Stefan Gates photo credit Imagine Childrens Festival Southbank CentreIn Laura’s fabulous Half Term in London round-up, one of her favourites was the Imagine Children’s Festival at London’s Southbank Centre, and with good reason! This year, the Imagine Children’s Festival features an incredible array of imaginative activities and workshops for children of all ages, and promises to leave your whole family buzzing with creative energy. We’re not talking about the usual “here are some colouring pencils” nod to art workshops either… we’re talking unforgettable explorations of unusual poems, children’s literature and music, cultural dance performances, children’s comedy acts, the chance to become a superhero, and some highly engaging adventures with food from gastronaut Stefan Gates (pictured above). For a bit of old fashioned fun there are vintage fairground rides, and if previous years are anything to go by there will be plenty of opportunities to wind down or to enjoy the festival with babies and toddlers.
