Oxford University Museum Of Natural History (Oxfordshire, SE England) – Family Friendly Museum Award Winner

The museum exhibits the complete remains of a Dodo – if that’s not reason enough for a visit, we don’t know what is!  The Oxford University Museum of Natural History houses the University’s scientific collections of zoological, entomological and geological specimens. The Museum itself is a Grade 1 listed building, renowned for its spectacular neo-Gothic architecture. Among its most famous features are the Oxfordshire dinosaurs, the dodo, and the Swifts in the tower.

Admission to the Oxford University Museum Of Natural History is free.

Families – don’t forget to check out the “Learning Zone” on their website.

Closed to the public in 2013 for roof restoration.
