Oriel Wrecsam is the premier venue for Contemporary Visual and Applied Arts in North East Wales. It is our intention to develop our programme over the next 5 years to broaden our visitor experience of the arts in Wrexham.
The focus for programming at Oriel Wrecsam will be on Drawing, Print and Graphic-based work in the widest possible sense. We are keen to work with artists on projects that relate to us in some way. We provide a platform for contemporary visual art but we want to extend our offer to become a creative hub including performance, music, and other events.
We’d love artists to experiment with us and to engage with individuals and communities in innovative, exciting and sometimes challenging ways. It is our aim to become a focus for a vibrant and stimulating cultural scene in the region.
We present 6 exhibitions per year in our main gallery space, showing Welsh and international contemporary art. We also work closely with emerging artists and are committed to supporting the development of new work.
